![]() Radamee Orlandi-Alvarez, D.D.S. is an honors graduate of Southern Methodist University and Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Operative Dentistry and was selected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. After completing a General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital Portsmouth, Virginia, he served with the U.S. Navy at sea and ashore. Dr. Orlandi opened his practice in Jensen Beach after release from active duty in 1983. Continuing his commitment to clinical excellence, Dr. Orlandi achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry after completing 500 hours of continuing education and passing a rigorous six-hour examination. He still completes over 40 hours of continuing education every year in order to stay current in dental techniques and materials. He was also selected to Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international honor dental organization. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Treasure Coast Dental Society, where he serves as Immediate Past-President. He has been a member of Indian River Community College’s Dental Laboratory Technology Advisory Committee since 1985. Dr. Orlandi completed over 20 years in the Naval Reserve, participating in numerous Marine Corps training exercises, Operation Desert Shield and serving three tours as Commanding Officer of Naval Dental Clinic and Naval Hospital reserve units. He retired from the Naval Reserve with the rank of Captain. Dr. Orlandi
and his wife Pat, a dental hygienist, were married in 1979 and have
nurtured their practice together from its beginning. Pat received
the A. Rebekah Fisk Award for Clinical Proficiency as a dental
hygiene student at Indiana University and was selected to the Sigma
Pi Alpha academic honor society. She has served as President of the
TriCounty Dental Hygiene Society. She is an Adjunct Faculty member
of IRCC’s Dental Hygiene program as well as a member of its Dental
Hygiene Advisory Committee. Dr. and Mrs. Orlandi participate in
community service projects, such as Project Christmas Smile and are
active in their local church, having served as committee
chairpersons, youth counselors and Sunday School
teachers for over twenty years. They have two adult
sons. |
